In partnership with The Environmental Sustainability Agency, Embedding Impact and The Experience Factory, we will be offering a unique Social & Environmental Impact Graduate Programme to 8 unemployed graduate students nationwide with particular focus on where ESA has established partnerships with communities to build Climate Resilient, Community and Biodiversity based Economies. The programme will kick off in August 2020 with recruitment and training and graduates will be deployed at sites from October 2020 for the next 10 months into 2021.

This programme is made possible with grant funding secured from Nuffic which is a Dutch based organisation and through their programmes, aims to contribute to society’s sustainable and inclusive development.

Selected students will go through an initial 4 week training course designed to develop their understanding of the current socio-economic and environmental situation at each site and this will inform the baseline studies to be conducted at community sites they live, to learn and apply their knowledge.

Training will entail:

1. Improved understanding of Natural Resource Management and the Wildlife Economy

2. Corporate literacy

3. Social Impact Measurement (SIM)

The end goal is to see these graduates being absorbed permanently into ESA projects and contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities by measuring the impacts these initiatives have to their communities.
